Earlier this month, Google introduced a generative AI feature to Maps that helps users discover things to do in their area. Back in February 2023, Immersive View was introduced, creating 3D, AI-powered cities to explore within the app.

Google Maps introduces Lens integration in India, allowing users to easily search for nearby restaurants and cafes using artificial intelligence (AI). The feature will be available on Android devices in 15 Indian cities from January 2024.

You can save an area from Google Maps to your phone or tablet and use it when you're offline. Tip: You're unable to download offline maps in some countries or regions because of contractual limitations, language support, address formats, or other reasons.
